Hello fellow modelers!  This is my first submission to ARC Armor.  This is the nice Tamiya M1046 kit backdated to a M1036 of Operation Desert Storm,1991.  I added a lot of scratchbuilt extras to the interior such as: roof support framework, radio power supply units, radio handset and cords, detail bits to the crew doors, as well as correcting the rear cargo door hinge point.

The strap for the turret is made from tape and the buckles are scratchbuilt from left over photoetch pieces.  I added bolt heads where appropriate throughout.  The lenses of the TOW system and binoculars are made from pieces of iridescent confetti.

The helmets and extras came from various Tamiya and Academy accessory sets.  The placards came from Eduard sheet for Hummers.  I gave it a dusty look found in several photos from Desert Storm.  I used mixed tempura paints and Tamiya Weathering Master to achieve it.  The base is wood with railroad ballst glued on with Hob-e-tac adhesive.  This was a very enjoyable build with a lot of research involved.  I hope you enjoy it and are inspired to go build something!
